Media Jury designates Candide Thovex!

Before the Nissan Freeride de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, a team of journalists were trained in the Freeride World Tour judging method by Berti Denervaud (Snowboard Head Judge).

Four locations around the world have been selected for the third edition of the Freeride World Tour. 
The planet's top freeride skiers and snowboarders will travel to Russia, USA, France and Switzerland to prove their skills on some of the world's most challenging faces.

Then, during the competition, they regrouped to judge the men's ski competition with Mathieu Ros from Ski Mag in France leading the group:

"For the Media Award, we were looking for the most visual run. Candide's line spoke for itself and even without tricks, his flow was like that of a slopestyle. Using this criteria, Candide's run was the most pleasurable to watch: fluid, fast, aggressive and stylish. ALl of the aspects of freeride came together. His line was original because no one before had taken that line. Kaj Zackrisson and Stefan Hausl's runs were also impressive notably with the double cliff jumps."
